With fall on the horizon, the days will get shorter, and the weather will cool down. This will be a deterrent for many people, and their motivation for fitness will wane. Rather than going for a run, people will opt to bundle up on the couch and watch Orange is the New Black or Game of Thrones. However, the fall season provides for beautiful scenery, and a ton of activities for those of you who would like to remain active during this upcoming season. The following is a list of fitness activities in Vancouver in September.
This race, with a two hour time limit, runs through the downtown eastside. The entry fee is $50 and supports the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre, Greater Vancouver Food Bank, and Watari Counselling and Support. The run takes place at 8:30 A.M., at the Dunsmuir Viaduct. Let’s throw in one option that is away from Vancouver – this race will take place in Whistler. Although we’ve had a couple fun options, this is not going to be another one of them – unless you like pushing yourself to the limit. This 24K race runs along an incredibly scenic route. No water or aid stations are provided, so you must come prepared! Find information at: EscapeRoute.ca
