It has been a busy 24 hours for the region’s firefighters with the latest fire hitting near Siwash Rock in Stanley Park.

Fire crews responded to a blaze located on the cliff next to Siwash Rock, Global News reports.

The fire was difficult for ground crews to access and required the assistance of a fire boat. Fire trucks reached the location by driving on the trails. Water was sprayed onto the fire from the seawall below and on the cliff above.

According to CBC News, the fire was extinguished by 2 a.m. and the damage is limited. A camp fire in the area may be to blame.
