Vancouver's newest Italian restaurant could open as soon as next week

It has been just over a year since beloved eatery Trafalgers Bistro closed its doors in June 2017, and we’ve only just discovered what will be replacing the 2603 West 16th Avenue space.

The 1,200 sq. ft. eatery will be replaced by Fiore Famiglia, the new sister restaurant to South Granville Italian restaurant Fiore (1485 W 12th Avenue).

Owners anticipate the 44-seat interior space will be open to the public as soon next week, and when the patio permit comes through there will be another 20 seats where patrons can dine al fresco.

This new concept is a super family-friendly one, designed with groups and kids in mind. Owners are anticipating more daytime traffic, which means a killer brunch and lunch menu will be up for order.

Managing partner Peter McGee told Daily Hive guests can expect the same fresh house-made pizzas and pasta you’d find at the Fiore on 12 Avenue, just with slightly different vibes in a new location.

“All of our restaurants (The Stable House, Fiore, and Fiore Famiglia) are designed to serve the neighbourhood they’re in – we really want to create local gathering spots and hopefully the menu, design, and staff show that,” said McGee.

We’ll keep you posted on an exact opening date for this spot.
