Show your dad just how much you love him by taking him to the Denman Street Car Free Day on June 16. Spoil him with sweet and savoury foods, watch some live entertainment, and shop for some knick-knacks at the vendors’ tents. Sasquatch Days at Harrison Hotsprings

Head east on the highway and you might just end up at Harrison Hot Springs! A gorgeous place to relax by the beach with your family for Father’s Day. Sasquatch Day runs through June 16 to 17 and includes a variety of First Nations cultural activities such as live entertainment, medicine walks, boat tours, artisan vendors, as well as informational talks on the legendary Sasquatch, aka Big Foot.

Father’s Day Walk/Run for Prostate Cancer

If your dad is the active type — or even if he’s not — the Raymond James Father’s Day Walk/Run gives you and your dad the opportunity to get some exercise and support the fight against prostate cancer. You can choose to enroll yourselves in a 2 km, 5 km, or 10 km run. You’ll not only get the chance to burn off some steam, but you’ll get to enjoy face painting, a free lunch for participants, and a selfie station to commemorate the day!

Family fishing weekend

This year is the 19th annual BC Family Fishing Weekend! Starting on Friday, June 15 and ending on Sunday, June 17, this is the perfect opportunity to hit the water with your entire family — license free — to enjoy a day at the lake attempting to catch a fish.

Dad’s love their vehicles, so take him to the GearHeads Father’s Day Car Show in Bellingham, where he’ll have the chance to see hundreds of cars and trucks! Don’t forget to feed him! Head over to the local BelleWood Country Cafe for breakfast or a BBQ — before or after the show.

Another car-free area to check out! If you’ve already been to Denman street, come on over to Main Street with your daddy-o! Main Street hosts the largest Car Free Day spanning 21 blocks. There’ll be more food for you to try, art to view and shop, music, and nightlife.
