7 speakers you need to see at the Extraordinary Future Conference next week

A new kind of technology event is coming to Vancouver next week – the Extraordinary Future Conference.

Taking place at the Convention Centre on September 20, the long-awaited event will be showcasing new and soon-to-be released technologies from 25 disruptive Canadian tech companies from blockchain technology, to virtual and augmented reality, health technology, the future of energy, and much more.

Now you can go along to test out some awe-inspiring devices for yourself as the top five VR/AR companies in Vancouver will be there: Archiact, Finger Food Studios, CognitiveVR, LlamaZoo, and LNG Studios.

Alex Tapscott

Tapscott is the author of #1 Globe and Mail best-seller, Blockchain Revolution, he’s a co-founder of Toronto’s Blockchain Research Institute, and founder of NextBlock Global – a company dedicated to investing in the digital asset space will be keynoting. You’ll definitely want to hear what he has to say at Extraordinary Future.

Anne-Marie Enns

As the executive producer the largest virtual and augmented reality conference and expo in the Pacific Northwest, Enns knows a thing or two about the industry. Catch her talk to find out about her views on the industry and how she has worked on TED conferences.

Dr. Tom Elliott

Dr. Elliott has been a faculty member at UBC since 1992, where his current rank is clinical associate professor. He chaired the Endocrinology & Metabolism Society of BC – the professional body representing all BC endocrinologists and diabetes specialists, from 2008 to 2012. He’s also the director of clinical trials at bcdiabetes.ca so he will be able to provide you with an interesting insight into the role of technology in healthcare.

Kevin Oke

This young tech whizz is co-founder and VP of aales of LlamaZOO Interactive, an internationally recognized, award-winning AR/VR communications and training company. His company are creators of a 3D learning and communication platform for higher education and enterprise.

Gianni Kovacevic

This thought leader regularly speaks about topics like environmentalism and is a well known investor in the natural resource sector. He’s an expert on all things related to copper and always fascinates audiences with his artful storytelling and picturesque analysis.

David Cameron

Cameron is a man of many talents; a writer, producer, teacher, and technology consultant with both client-side and vendor-side experience ranging from conceptualization all the way through to final delivery. He’s also a web developer so you’ll want to hear his talk on the future of ‘invrs3d cinema reality’.

Aimee Gagnon

Gagnon is an experienced senior manager with plenty of expertise in the tech space. She’s passionate about strategy, marketing, and community. With a natural toolkit of soft skills developed over years of hands-on experience, she brings teams together and motivates groups toward working to a common goal.
