EARLIER:

SkyTrain’s Expo Line is experiencing major delays this evening rush hour due to a mechanical issue with a train near Joyce-Collingwood Station.

Train service is currently on hold across much of the Expo Line. The issue began at approximately 5 pm and is causing significant crowding at stations.

As a result, trains are currently only operating from Waterfront to Commercial-Broadway stations and from Patterson Station to Production Way-University and King George stations. A shuttle train is running between Commercial-Broadway and Patterson stations.

The Millennium and Canada lines are not affected by the disruption are operating normally, although there may be additional crowds from passengers who normally take the Expo Line.
