Let’s be real – with the Loonie so weak, most of us can’t afford to vacation in Europe anytime soon.

So instead of jetting off to Europe, why not let the continent come to you at the 19th annual Europe Festival taking place at Burnaby’s Swangard Stadium from May 28 to 29.

Hosted by the EuroFest BC Society, this event makes for the perfect excuse to lean back and enjoy two days full of music, foods, workshops, and games.

Check out exhibitions of 30 European nations with the UK as the feature nation in a larger tent with special activities. Next, head on over to the bustling beer garden with your friends and soak up some European culture without having to get on a plane.

Visitors can look forward to a variety of arts, crafts, souvenirs, and affordable European cuisine. With non-stop entertainment on two stages hosting emerging artists and traditional European performers, you’re guaranteed to experience “unity through diversity.” This year’s headliner is Yukon Blonde, accompanied by the Paperboys as the supporting act.

Check out the full European Festival schedule by clicking here. You can also participate as a volunteer and get your hands on a swag bag and distinctive clothing for your efforts.
