Learn the psychology of optimal experience and how to use it to consistently feel and perform your best.
Psychologists describe flow as the mental state in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, with full involvement in and enjoyment of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by complete absorption in what one does. Flow is also often referred to as “being in the Zone.”
In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn how to use flow psychology to consistently feel and perform at your best. When you train your mind to focus entirely on one task at a time rather than productivity-killing multitasking you will find yourself accomplishing more things. And faster!
This workshop will cover the following 4 pillars of applying flow psychology in your life and work:
1. Meditation: Learn about the two most important forms of meditation for developing your focus and creativity: single-pointed focus and open awareness meditation.
2. Flow Triggers: Understand the 4 kinds of flow triggers that you can add to your daily work or training routine to capture your full attention in the present moment and stay in this state of focused attention even when you’re doing difficult tasks and stretching beyond your comfort zone.
3. The Creative Process: Learn how anxiety, perfectionism and overthinking hijack your creative process and how to overcome them so you can develop a higher level of autonomy, mastery and purpose in your work.
We will also explore the connections between meditation, creativity and flow states and how increasing alpha, gamma and theta brainwave activity in your brain can heighten your awareness and improve lateral thinking.
This workshop offers an opportunity to achieve a more creative "stream of consciousness" in your work and more focus so you can learn faster and retain more. Seize the opportunity and discover a new dimension to your life and work.
