This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the Richmond Academy of Dance. In these 30 years, the Richmond Academy of Dance has become internationally recognized for its outstanding training of young Canadians. Today, graduates of the Academy are in professional companies, on theatre stages and in the finest arts education schools around the world.
To celebrate our 30th Anniversary, the Richmond Academy of Dance will be presenting a Gala Performance at the River Rock Show Theatre on Sunday, May 28th, 2017 at 7:30pm. This wonderful evening of dance, theatre and song will include the Academy’s Senior Professional Division alongside Academy graduates and guests such as Heather Ogden (Principal Dancer with National Ballet of Canada), Tara Williamson (Former Dancer with Ballet BC and Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal), Alexei Geronimo (Bad Boys of Dance and Showstoppers), Stephanie Amurao (L.A. Dance Project and Batsheva Dance Company) and Nicole Caron (Principal Dancer with Alberta Ballet), among others, who are now performing in professional companies, professional institutions and theatres across the globe.
