If Not, Winter + Guests // The Railway Stage & Beer Café

The Live Agency + Live Acts presents:

If Not, Winter with special guests Belcarra, Fionn and Abraham

If Not, Winter (Vancouver) //

If Not, Winter’s music started in the realm of indie folk. Somewhere along the way, their music has been described as “indie folk quirk pop” with notes of folktronica. An amalgamation of acoustic and electronic sounds, If Not, Winter attempts to synthesize the diverse musical tastes of all five of its members to produce a sound that is spirited, gentle, and bright.
Formed in Vancouver, B.C., If Not, Winter's members Grace McRae, Sawyer Junger, Sam Stouten, Celine Hounjet, and Neil Saini all met through a student music community on their UBC campus. Coming together in increments, they pieced together their sound with every new member that joined the group over the course of three months towards the end of 2016. Since then, they have shared the stage with acts such as Adventure Club, Roy Woods, and Ekali at one of UBC’s largest events, Block Party. They are currently in the process of recording their first EP and playing swinging shows around town.

BELCARRA (Vancouver) //

Belcarra is an Indy Rock band hailing from Vancouver BC. Formed in the Fall of 2016 by solo singer-songwriter Jaron Chidiac, members
Roan Wallace, Ricrado Germaine and Adrian Fitzpatrick draw on a variety of musical talent and experience. As previous session musicians, producers, and writers, all four members bring an excellent focus, and professional work ethic to the project.

As a result of their hard work and dedication, Beclarra - after only being a band for one year - has seen great sucess in the local music Scene. Belcarra have been featured in the top four in "The Best of Vancouver" Music competition, and recently tied for first place in the
"Sham Rocks" music festival. Belcarra's live performances have been called passionate and energetic. This recently drew the attention of local upcoming producer Matt Di Pomponio. Over the past year Belcarra worked with Di Pomponio to release their debut EP - "Hollow Tree" - completed in the fall of 2017. The EP was recorded near Beclarra National Park at Echo Plant Sound Studios in Port Coquitlam.

Upon release of "Hollow Tree" Belcarra is planning small spring tours and more local shows in the Vancouver area.

Fionn (Vancouver) // http://www.fionnband.com/

From the beaches of White Rock, Fionn sister act Alanna and Brianne Finn-Morris have been singing harmoniously together since they were kids. Signing with Sony/604 Records in the spring of 2017, these identical twins are just 19 years old and draw inspiration from greats like Joni Mitchell and Sinead O’Connor. Within their own music, expect to hear bold vocals, synced harmonies, and an equally powerful acoustic guitar, traversing the borders of music genres—think electronic-pop mixed with folk-rock.

Abraham (Vancouver) //http://abrahammusic.info/

Abraham’s music is intimate and full of sincerity. Her 2014 debut release, "This Old Heart" is a collection of seductive, sentimental and admirable feeling. Recorded and produced in her home town (Victoria BC) by Sam Weber (Infinity Studios). The EP’ generated much interest upon its release. Attracting the attention of CBC Radio where the EP’s official single, ‘Burn Bright’ was premiered. An interview accompanied the premier, giving listeners the opportunity to hear the unique story behind the folk, pop piece.

Currently based in Vancouver B.C, the young artist brings a little bit of each genre to the table. Carrying with her a blend of soulful electric folk and jazzy undertones, while also drawing a subtle twang from her southern background.

Naturally emotive, her songs are lyrically driven and “all about the feeling” it leaves behind for respective listeners. Her live show is known to not just be another show, but a memorable experience full of heart.

Since 2014, Abraham’s primary focus has been touring, playing and honing her craft. In 2018 you can expect new music, new directions and some exciting up coming releases.
