Energizer Night Race Vancouver 2011

DH Vancouver Staff Nov 10, 2011 9:08 am

The Energizer Night Race is a unique take on the popular sport of running that starts at sun set and features 1,500 plus runners in 5 and 10k runs lighting up the night sky with high efficiency headlights. This run gives a whole new meaning to the Northern Lights.

The Energizer Night Race has been in existence in select markets for six years but 2011 marks the first time it’s going global including four stops in Canada. So far races have been run in Calgary, Toronto and Montreal and of course Vancouver. The Vancouver version is set for November 12 and is in support of Starlight. The race is part of a weekend of global races that are taking place in 20 different cities.

Each race is affiliated with a charity and for the Vancouver race it’s the Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada.
