The story of the Light Maze

Enchant is based on an original children’s Christmas story that tells of a storm that hits the North Pole, not long before Christmas. During the storm, the reindeer get lost and end up in the light maze.

Guests are invited to search through the 55,000 sq. ft. light maze to find all nine missing reindeer and help save Christmas.

From trees to stars to snowy caves, the maze will transport guests through seven magical worlds, illuminated by thousands of gorgeous lights.

Created by Kevin Johnston from SHINE Lighting Group Inc., a Vancouver-based Christmas light design company, this fascinating maze will combine some of the most beautiful and complex light structures that Vancouver has ever seen, including 23 foot tall reindeer and a stunning 64 foot tall central Christmas tree, decorated with more than 85,000 LED lights.

SHINE is the company behind the lights at some of the most popular venues and attractions around BC, including Park Royal and Pacific Centre. They also produced the stunning Light Walk around Blue Grouse Lake, a seasonal attraction that helped break attendance records at Grouse Mountain last season.

The Enchant storybook, written by Leanne Johnston and illustrated by Sebastian S.C., follows the story of Santa’s search for his missing reindeer and will be available for purchase at the event or for pre-order with tickets. The book includes the exciting conclusion and colouring pages.

Other attractions at Enchant

Besides the stunning maze, Enchant boasts various other attractions to keep up with the holiday spirit.

To help you with your Christmas shopping, there will be a bustling Christmas market featuring handmade artisanal goods from local artists around Vancouver.

Some 14 different food trucks will be serving up a variety of delicious eats, and there will be a covered licensed eating area to enjoy your food and for the of-age guests to enjoy a warming cup of mulled wine, buttered rum, eggnog and more.

If you’re looking for a unique venue to host your own Christmas event, Enchant also features a stylish VIP Lounge open for private reservation. The VIP Lounge is a private space complete with a beautiful atmosphere, first-class food and drink, and customizable entertainment options.

The VIP Lounge also gives VIP access to various parts of the event (such as the light maze), includes a private bar, and gourmet catering options by Cocktails and Canapes.

If you are a smaller group looking for an all-inclusive experience, Enchant also offers the VIP Room, which includes your access to Enchant, a food and drink package, and reserved tables.

Dates are booking up quickly, so contact Enchant soon to inquire about booking your holiday party at the most unique venue in Vancouver this winter.
