ElleBox Co made waves when it first came on the scene in Vancouver offering women a monthly supply box for their time of the month, and now the creators are set to appear on Dragons’ Den.

Co-founder Bunny Ghatora tells Vancity Buzz that she and her business partners Taran Ghatora and Jessica Bilmer made it through the first round of auditions here in Vancouver and were asked to appear in front of the Dragons in Toronto.

“I think we’re going to keep it simple and explain what the product is and draw attention to the big picture of why we decided to go into ElleBox,” Ghatora says of the trio’s planned presentation.

So what exactly do you get in a period subscription box? All the necessities, as well as a few extras. The boxes come in two varieties: the “Necessities” box which comes with tampons, pads, pantyliners, wipes, PMS tea, and chocolate, or the “Comfort” box which comes with all of that, plus extras like candles and aromatherapy.

Both boxes come with an option for organic tampons and pads as well.

ElleBox Co was founded in August of last year and has since grown massively. The company is shipping to all 10 provinces, as well as the North West Territories, and has a six figure valuation.

As for which Dragon she thinks will bite, Ghatora has a couple in mind.

“Michelle is definitely in the tech industry and she’s kind of knows everything about the online businesses, and Manjit Manhas is a marketing expert and she’s got so many connections with so many great retailers,” she says.
