4 people in custody after East Vancouver bank robbery

Four people are in custody following a bank robbery in East Vancouver Thursday night.

VPD Staff Stgt. Randy Fincham told Daily Hive the incident took place around 6 pm, when a man robbed the CIBC at 2890 Grandview Highway.

Fincham said the suspect fled in a vehicle, but that the vehicle was later spotted around 10:30 pm.

“The four occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody in the area of East 59^th Avenue and Fraser Street,” Fincham said.

The investigation is ongoing.
