Magnitude 6.2 earthquake strikes northwestern BC

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake in northwestern BC was reported at 6:18 am, Monday morning.

According to the US Geological Service, the quake happened close to the BC / Yukon / Alaska border and had a depth of 4 km.

A number of aftershocks were reported in the region as well.
