The City of Vancouver will be turning off its lights for Earth Hour on Saturday, March 27 from 8:30 to 9:30 pm. Show the world our collective commitment to action on climate change; make Metro Vancouver skylines go dark. This should not be too difficult for Coal Harbour as many of the condos aren’t occupied until the summer anyway.
During Earth Hour, the City will be powering down Library Square, City Hall and other civic buildings/facilities. You can also follow Earth Hour Canada on Twitter or Facebook. The twitter tag is #EarthHour when discussing the various merits and events surrounding Earth Hour.

Here is a local video that shows how many people don’t know about Earth Hour or forget about it the day of and a video PSA from Gisele Bundchen.

Will you be turning off the lights? I say do it, besides it’s better to do it in the dark anyways. For grow-op operators out there please do so as well, its only 1 hour.
