A golden eagled amused a small crowd of onlookers when it swooped into a soccer field at North Vancouver’s Sutherland Secondary School and began to kick a soccer ball.

A three-minute video uploaded onto YouTube on March 25 captures a curious juvenile golden eagle joining in on Mountain United Youth 13 team’s soccer practice.

The predator jumped on the ball before performing a few kicks on it, including one kick that sent the ball towards the cameraman. Keen to have the spectacle continue, someone from the team rolled the ball back to the eagle, who then gave it a few more kicks.

The bird then seemingly lost interest in the object and flew away from the field. It did not fly off with the ball.
