Vancouver hot chicken spot to open 'walk-through' dinner window this week
If there’s one thing that’s for sure, it’s that Vancouver likes their chicken – and they like it hot.
The response to the city’s first brick and mortar Nashville hot chicken spot, The Downlow Chicken Shack, has been overwhelming, so they are about to make their first National Fried Chicken Day celebration a memorable one.

On Friday, July 6 at 5 pm the 905 Commercial Drive eatery will crack open their walk-through only window located at the side of the restaurant for an extra special dinner service.
This is exciting considering Downlow is typically only open from 11 am to 4 pm, so anyone who can’t make it there during business hours now has a chance to try the oh-so-crispy chicken from this spot.
Patrons can head here to purchase one of the 500 signature hot chicken sandwiches up for grabs. The deep-fried sandwiches will be sold for $12 (their regular price) alongside beverages while supplies last. No sides will be offered during this time.
The Downlow Chicken Shack will be serving its regular menu on July 6 from 11 am to 4 pm, and then it will be reopening at 5 pm for this special window service.
