Douglas’ family murdered, blames Vancouver coffee drinkers (PHOTO)
You could say his personality is the strong silent type. But now, it looks like Douglas, who lives in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, has had enough and has decided to speak up.
Specifically, Douglas wants users of single-use, dipoasable paper coffee cups to reconsider their actions and instead, get their coffee to go in a reusabale, coffee mug.
It’s obvious that this issue is one that is deeply rooted inside of Douglas. His message is simple, straightforward, and easy to follow.
“My family was killed for paper cups,” the sign on Douglas reads. “If you often get coffee, please use a reusable mug. After all, I clean your air.”
Well, he does have a point. By taking a stand like this, Douglas hopes his message will help to grow awareness around an issue that many people may not think about in their day-to-day life.
