Donate tampons and pads for women in need on International Women's Day

Periods can get expensive. Tampons and pads are not cheap and for women living in poverty, it can be a challenge to afford monthly feminine hygiene products.

Now, the United Way of the Lower Mainland’s Participation Department and the labour movement are collecting and donating feminine hygiene products to help.

The collection began on “Tampon Tuesday” this week, continues through International Women’s Day today and ends of Thursday.

You can drop off new tampons, pads, menstrual cups and other feminine hygiene products at the United Way of the Lower Mainland’s office.

United Way is also encouraging people to include tampons, pads and menstrual cups in their donations to their local food banks, as those products are in high demand.
