Slow claps all around to the creators of this new dating website.

Maple Match aims to pair Americans with trusty Canadian partners in the event of a possible Donald Trump presidency.

“Maple Match makes it easy for Americans to find the ideal Canadian partner to save them from the unfathomable horror of a Trump presidency,” reads the minimal website.

Unlike a traditional dating site where users create profiles, you simply sign up for a waitlist. Will you get paired with your ideal match? It’s hard to tell at this point, but presumably more details will follow should Donald Trump move into the White House.

With a clever slogan like “make dating great again,” how can you resist?

It’s hardly surprising that Americans are looking for creative ways to leave the country following a possible Trump presidency. A Vox.com poll suggests 28% of Americans plan to say “you’re fired” to their home country and make their way to Canada if Trump assumes power.

Some celebrities have said they’ll do the same – Lena Dunham says she’ll move to Vancouver, in fact.

Signing up for Maple Match might be described as “philanthropy with benefits” – you’re saving an American from a terrible fate while finding love.
