Get out your whitest whites, Diner en Blanc returns to Vancouver for another year.
The annual event will see thousands of Vancouverites clamour to a secret-until-the-last-minute spot to dine in elegance outdoors in all-white attire.
This year, they’re expecting 6,000 people to attend the event that requires you to bring your own table settings, table, food, chairs, and wine – a “mass, chic picnic.”

The concept started 30 years ago in Paris by François Pasquier with just a handful of his friends. Today, Paris’s incarnation of the event attracts more than 10,000 guests a year, and past locations have included the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Élysées, and the Louvre.
Here in Vancouver, chic diners collected en masse at Canada Place last year for the giant yearly picnic.
While all three registration phases have passed already – you need to receive an invitation code in order to register – you can put your name down on the waiting list and cross your fingers.
