You know what’s mind-blowing? How The Deighton Cup somehow manages to get better every year.
Tickets to the impeccably stylish horse races on July 22 are almost sold out, so you’ll want to snap yours up before they run out. What’s really astonishing about this occasion being held at the Hastings Racecourse is that there will be up to 5,000 derby revellers to party with.
There’s a slew of different reasons as to why you’ll want to join in on the fun this year, and one of those is the mouthwatering food menu. Expect a combination of southern Louisiana inspirations alongside Japanese taste and techniques. Yep, that’s right – this year’s lunch will fuse together two unlikely cuisines for an explosion of flavour.
And of course, you’ll want to be on your tippy toes for the Style Stakes ‘Best Dressed’ for the chance to have your name engraved on The Deighton Cup if you win. All you have to do is stop by the self-nomination area near the front entrance on the day of the race to enter yourself into the contest, or keep your eye out for the judges who will be selecting from the crowd.
The Deighton Cup will also be holding their world-class mixology competition, Cocktail Jockey, to it’s very own event offsite from Hastings Racecourse, prior to The Deighton Cup on July 22. And this will be kicking off on July 21 from 12 to 3 pm at Reflections atop the Hotel Georgia.
So what this all really means is that since this awesome event is almost sold out, you’ll want to take action and get your ticket to enjoy the fun. You can still get your ticket for $75 but last chance tickets will be increased to $85 on Monday at midnight, so act quickly.
Now that you’ve become Deighton Cup educated, start searching for that special suit or fascinator to get fantastically fancy.
