Aug 23 2016, 3:10 am

North Vancouver’s Deep Cove Daze festival returns to the city for another year on August 28.

As usual, there will be children’s entertainment, local artisans, food trucks, and a beer garden with beer from Deep Cove Breweries.

And the food. The food. Chickpea, Mr. Tube Steak, A Taste of the Caribbean and other food trucks will be available for you to grab a nosh from.

In addition to musical performances for adults, kids will get their own stage to enjoy magicians, balloon artists, and more.

Deep Cove Daze is currently in need of volunteers to help setup the festival the day before and tear down the day after, as well as take donations during the festival, manage traffic, man the first aid station, and perform security.

Volunteers are required to work four hours shifts and will be provided with proof of community service hours afterwards.

Deep Cove Daze is a community event that dates back to the turn of the century, and has evolved into an arts festival that occurs on the last Sunday of August in Panorama Park.
