Bachata, tango, and salsa the summer away at Dance in Transit

May 21 2017, 1:01 am

Salsa the summer away at Dance in Transit–a free dance event taking place in Vancouver on Saturday evenings from May 20 to September 2.

Dance in Transit brings dance to public spaces, including public plazas and on the trains and stations of the SkyTrain system. Event venues include Robson Square, Jim Deva Plaza, Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza, and the Plaza of Nations.

Each session will teach a new form of dance ranging from bachata to tango.

If you’re a beginner or a pro, these dance classes will have you feelin’ the beat all summer long.

“After two years of working on the concept and testing it, we finally secured the use of Robson Square. At the same time, we decided to try other amazing venues so we could reach people in different parts of the downtown core and experience dancing in different settings,” reads the event description.
