It was a lesson one driver in West Vancouver likely won’t forget – not only because of the speeding ticket, but because of comments made by a young witness as well.
On Sunday, West Vancouver Police tweeted a picture of a speeding ticket, which the driver in question received for doing 96 in a 60 km/hr zone, on Cypress Bowl Road.
And while we’ve all heard of speeding tickets in West Vancouver before, there was a new addition to this one: the driver’s kid in the backseat, who also had something to say.
“96km/h in 60km/h zone + kiddo in back seat = fine for driver & prizes for the little guy who yelled out “baaaad daddy!” the police tweeted.

The driver received a $196 fine, while the kid received what appeared to be a pencil and a sticker.
Kids say the darndest things.
