Cypress Mountain opening on November 18

Cypress Mountain will be opening for the 2016/2017 ski and snowboard season on Friday, November 18, the resort announced on Wednesday.

According to a statement on the Cypress Mountain website, the opening date is based on mid-range weather projections and forecast trends.

And the North Shore resort may open even earlier…

“As always you can count on Cypress Mountain to open at the earliest date that snow conditions will allow,” says a post on the resort’s Facebook page.

“So if we are fortunate to get earlier snow we will fast track our opening date!”
