Surrey RCMP looking for suspect after reported sexual assault

Surrey RCMP is hoping that composite drawings of a suspect involved in a sexual assault earlier this month will help them find who they’re looking for.

The drawings come after a woman reported she was sexually assaulted in Hi-Knoll Park, near 196th Street and Colebrook Road, on September 13,

The woman was not physically injured in the attack, but investigators have also discovered  two incidents involving a suspicious person around the same time and location that they said may be associated with this case.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his late teens, 5’8 tall, with a skinny build, and chin-length, shaggy, dark brown hair. He was also seen wearing a dark coloured hoodie.

“Sexual assaults are very disturbing to the community,” said Surrey RCMP Cpl. Scotty Schumann. “Our investigators are working diligently on this file but need help from the public.”

Schumann added that anyone who recognizes the person in the drawings, or if they resemble someone you may know, should contact investigators right away.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
