A man who was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Surrey on Tuesday morning has now died of his injuries, police said Wednesday.

Surrey RCMP said that at 7:20 am, officers were called to the 14300 block of 92nd Avenue, for reports that a passerby had found a man unconscious and with head injuries.

“No one had witnessed what led to the man’s injuries and it wasn’t readily apparent what had transpired or how long he had been injured,” said RCMP Cpl. Scotty Schumann.

A thorough examination of the scene was conducted and investigators located glass fragments and pieces of a vehicle suspected to have been involved.
