One man is dead after what police say is a homicide in Richmond early Monday morning.
Around 3:04 am, Richmond RCMP was called to was called to the 7500 block of Bridge Street, responding to reports of a possible shooting.
Upon their arrival. police found a seriously injured man and despite attempts by emergency crews to revive him, he later succumbed to his injuries.
Now, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in to help with the investigation; and at this point, police believe the shooting was targeted.
The area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a “significant amount of time,” said Richmond RCMP Cost. Adriana Peralta. “Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase, no further information will be provided at this time.”
