Vancouver’s much-loved homemade soup and sandwich purveyor Crab Park Chowdery is now popping up at different locations across the city.
The creators of the deliciously creamy New England Clam Chowder restaurant have one of the only solar-powered food trucks on the West Coast so they can spread the CPC love to Vancouverites far and wide.
The restaurant celebrated its first anniversary at its 221 Abbott Street bricks and mortar location back in March. Here, you can order up menu favourites which will also be available over the food truck counter. This includes the notable Lobster Salad Sandwich loaded with crab, lobster, and shrimp, on a soft sourdough La Baguette Bakery bun.
It’s a game-changer that needs to be enjoyed at least
once twice this season.
Then there’s the Big Beef Sandwich that will make any meat lover swoon.
Picture it in your hands now; marinated sirloin, horseradish, and mayo, all resting on a brioche bun.
The restaurant’s classic Clam Chowder, Seasoned Corn on the Cob, as well as their Vegan Chilli Bread Bowls, are available a la food cart. Plus, next-level Mac N Cheese is making an appearance. To make it even more of an haute-cuisine dish you can add bacon, tomato, crab, shrimp, or lobster.
Of course, the food cart menu wouldn’t be complete without beverages. Take your pick from ginger beer or fresh squeezed lemonade.
You’ll see Crab Park Chowdery’s food cart parked all over Vancouver, and one of its permanent locations is on the corner of Granville and West Georgia.
You may also see the cart at big events, food truck meetups, and catering for large parties. So keep your eyes on the prize, Vancouver.
