Celebrate inspiring people with the Courage to Come Back awards

Don’t let the inspiring people in your life get forgotten.

The people who face seemingly insurmountable odds, yet still come through with a drive to help others. The people who face addition, or illness, or mental health issues, and yet still survive with courage and strength.

Those people deserve to be remembered, and the 19th annual Coast Mental Health Courage to Come Back Awards wants to help you do it.

The awards now have open nominations for people who have overcome significant challenges in their lives and emerged with a passion to give back.

Nominations are available in six different categories: overcoming social adversity, medial issues, physical rehabilitation, mental health, addiction issues, and youth. Nominations are open until February 8, and you can nominate yourself as well as others.

“People can and do change in remarkable ways,” says Meredith Graham, last year’s social adversity award recipient.

“There is extraordinary potential in genuine kindness. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, has the power to heal.”

So celebrate the people who give out kindness in spite of their own difficulties, and spread a bit of your own by nominating them for the Courage to Come Back Awards.

You can also stay in the know via Coast Mental Health on Facebook.
