What would you do if you won Lotto 6/49?

For Coquitlam’s Ian Hirsch, the latest winner of the lottery, his immediate reaction was to triple check he’d got the right numbers.

“I checked it online first and then had my wife recheck it. We couldn’t believe our eyes so we walked over to the store to check it again,” beamed Hirsch who was revealed at a press conference today. “It was overwhelming and surreal. I was shaking a lot!”

So what does Hirsch want to do with his newfound wealth?

“I want to buy a gigantic TV, and build a beautiful house around that TV,” he said whilst laughing. Hirsch’s dream list also includes trips to Europe and Hawaii, buying a car and helping out his kids it was revealed in a press release.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Shoppers Drug Mart on David Avenue in Coquitlam. This marks the second big win out of Coquitlam this month. A $1 Million Lotto Max ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven on David Avenue for the June 10 draw.
