Winter conditions and a vehicle crash have closed the Coquihalla Highway to southbound traffic between Merritt and Hope.
In a tweet, the Ministry of Transportation said the vehicle incident took place at Coldwater Road and that an assessment is in progress.

And while crews at this point are hoping to have the route open by 5 pm today, they’re also advising travellers that the winter conditions, including blowing snow and low visibility are expect to continue for the rest of today and into tonight.
