Following a couple stints providing fully supported recording sessions to local bands in our fair city, Converse Rubber Tracks will be returning to Vancouver on their eight-city national live tour with The Orwells. Support for the Vancouver leg will be coming from local band and Converse Rubber Tracks alumni, BESTiE, and the show will also be free to attend with registration.
The Orwells emerged from their Chicago suburb as five high schoolers in 2011 – frontman Mario Cuomo; guitarist Dominic Corso; bassist Grant Brinner and drummer Henry Brinner. Since the band’s inception, they’ve released two EPs – “Other Voices” and “Who Needs You” – as well as two full-length albums to critical acclaim, including “Remember When” in 2012 and “Disgraceland” in 2014.
Established in 2011, Converse Rubber Tracks is a multifaceted global music platform that provides emerging artists the opportunity to unleash their creative spirit. Converse Rubber Tracks recording studios connect artists with experienced engineers to create original music in a professional studio, at no cost. The program includes permanent studios in Brooklyn, Sao Paulo and Boston, along with various Converse Rubber Tracks pop-up studios hosted around the world.
Converse Rubber Tracks Live is a free, live music series that takes a Converse Rubber Tracks recording artist to the stage, handpicked by a renowned headliner. The digital extension of the program is the award-winning Converse Rubber Tracks Sample Library, a growing online collection of high-quality audio samples available to musicians globally, free of charge.
