Colony adds new items to their hangover-crushing brunch menu (PHOTOS)

Colony’s Main Street and Kits locations have proven to be destinations for beer enthusiasts and comfort food-cravers alike.

These “come as you are” bars also have a brunch worth crawling out of bed for, in fact, we’d willingly jump from under the duvet knowing we were about to devour dishes from Chef Karl Gregg’s mid-morning menu. 

Now, there’s even more brunch goodness to experience at Colony.

With the addition of new items along with the already stellar classics – you’re bound to catch us nursing our hangovers (or preparing our stomachs early for an evening that’ll give us one) at one of the two Colony locations.

The Most Important Taco Of The Day (Hanna McLean/Daily Hive)

Some of the new items to order? Take a gander at ‘The Most Important Taco Of The Day‘, AKA a breakfast taco. No not a brekkie burrito, a taco, which is smaller and more convenient for those brunchers who want to get into multiple dishes in one sitting.

These guys are an Austin-style taco consisting of a combo of black beans, corn, pico de gallo, avocado, queso fesca, and locally-made Santa Rosa tortillas.

There’s also the new Country Fried Breakfast Sandwich (pork sausage patty, American cheese, fried egg, chipotle ketchup, on a English muffin) served with tatter tots, the Market Scramble (3 eggs, baby kale, feta, seasonal vegetables) served with toast and hash browns, and waffles topped with maple syrup, apples, and other seasonal fruit.

Classics such as Chicken & Waffles, the Quinoa Benny, and uber-popular Breakfast Poutine made of tatter tots, maple bacon, cheese curds, poached eggs, and house-made hollandaise, are still up for order as well.

Both Colony locations serve brunch from 10 am to 2 pm on weekends and holidays, where you can also get a quality morning Caesar, mimosa, and more tatter tots than you can handle
