Unseasonably cold temperatures are on the way for Metro Vancouver, although it won’t be anything equivalent to the polar vortex cold as experienced in Toronto and the East Coast.

Environment Canada is reporting that a high pressure system over the Yukon will be bringing the cold air to the south coast of British Columbia.

Metro Vancouver temperatures are forecasted to fall as low as -10 to -11 degrees Celsius throughout the week until Friday. Daytime temperatures are expected to hover around the zero degree mark.

Luckily, there is no precipitation in the forecast for this week, but it is expected to make a return for the following week.
