When you go on vacation, the places you stay leave a lasting impression.
Whether it’s the friendly housekeeper, the cocktail pro bartender, or the staff at the front desk, you remember how they made you feel like a star during your stay.
Now you have the opportunity to be part of a brand new and exciting hospitality team that leaves that kind of lasting impression. Civic Hotel, the 144-room boutique Autograph Collection hotel and accompanying restaurant, Dominion Bar + Kitchen, are looking to fill 165 new positions ahead of their grand opening this November.
If you think you have what it takes to work at Civic Hotel, attend the hiring fair on Tuesday, September 19, at Surrey City Hall Atrium, to wow what could be your future employer.
The Civic Hotel site is located in the heart of Surrey’s new city centre, just a 30-minute SkyTrain ride from Downtown Vancouver. And with both the Surrey Central Exchange and SkyTrain stop on its doorstep, it couldn’t be more convenient to get to.
Now the growing Civic team is looking to hire professional and motivated staff of all levels of experience to provide stand out, personalized experiences for guests and the local community.
Some of the positions to be filled include – servers and bartenders, bussers, hosts, sous chefs, chef de partie, cooks and dishwashers, housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, laundry attendants, housekeepers, front desk agents, bell staff, concierge, switchboard and reservations, security supervisors and officers, plus shift engineers.
And since Civic Hotel is a member of Marriott International’s boutique Autograph Collection of Hotels, you’ll get to work somewhere with bold originality and rich character that’s renowned worldwide. This collection only includes four and five-star accommodations – so it’s the crème de la crème of hotels.
The stature of the hotel is instantly noticeable from the exterior as the design rises 21 storeys above Civic Plaza and it’s Surrey’s first new high-rise hotel to be built in two decades. Once completed it will boast a “stylishly untamed” restaurant, a conference floor with two ballrooms, more than 8,000 square feet of multi-purpose meeting space, and a rooftop deck with breathtaking panoramic views of the Fraser Valley. So yeah, you could say it would be an amazing place to work.
