Chimp and Daily Hive are giving you $100,000 to give away to charity

Don’t just spend money to buy stuff this Christmas – spend it to make change.

People tend to give more to charity during the holidays, and a Vancouver-based foundation is making it easier to donate.

Give On, a new campaign hosted by Charitable Impact Foundation, or Chimp, is giving away $100,000 for people to give away to any Canadian charity.

Starting on November 29, when you sign up for a Chimp account, you’ll get a $10 piece of Chimp’s $100,000 to donate to a Canadian charity of your choice. Plus, when you add another $10 to your account, they’ll double it – no questions asked.

Chimp mixes tech and charity to make it easier for people to donate to causes they care about, using an online platform to let you choose the charities you want to support, discover new charities creating exciting impacts, and join together with other people to support causes in your community.

It’s just one way Canadians are working to make the world a better place.

As part of the Give On campaign, Chimp has profiled a number of Canadian changemakers in their interview series On Purpose. In this series, you can find out about the inspiring work others are doing – and learn about charities you can donate to as well.

Give On starts on November 29, and to kick it off Chimp is hosting a launch party at Big Rock Urban Brewery. The party will feature free beer and food, as well as discussions on how Vancouverites are making a difference.
