It’s time for some of Vancouver’s top chefs to trade in their restaurant kitchens for cooking space that’s a lot more mobile. The Chef Meets Truck event will go down in Yaletown on Tuesday, September 12, and there are some pretty exciting culinary match-ups.

Partnering with some popular local food trucks, the chefs on tap will hop on board the four-wheeled kitchens to create sample-sized bites of top-notch eats for guests to enjoy.

Put on by the Chefs’ Table Society of BC, in partnership with the Yaletown BIA, Chef Meets Truck has a lot of talent lined up:

Participating chefs

Kris Barnholden, BowsXArrows
Ned Bell, Ocean Wise
Peter Fong, Ganache Patisserie
Derek Gray, Savio Volpe
Daniel McGee, Au Comptoir
Ken Nakano, Market Restaurant at the Shangri-La Hotel
Makoto Ono, Mak-n-Ming
Matthew Stowe, Joseph Richard Group

Participating food trucks

Kafka’s Coffee Truck
Mom’s Grilled Cheese
Reef Runner
Roaming Dragon
Via Tevere
White Spot

Tickets include food samples from the eight participating food trucks, as well as, wine and beer samples.

A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
