Vancouver gets its own Cheese and Meat Festival

Calling all lovers of cheese and meat: Mark your calendars for September 17, 2016. The first ever Cheese and Meat Festival is headed to Vancouver.

Following on the heels of the already sold-out Victoria Cheese and Meat Festival happening May 21, the Vancouver date was added and tickets will go on sale May 4. Much like its Island predecessor, the Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival is expected to be sold to capacity.

The event is designed to showcase ethically produced meats and cheese from around the world, according to organizers.

“You see the artisan cheese and charcuterie meats at other festivals, but always as the sidekick to craft beers and wines. This time they are the stars of the show,” David Bain, Cheese and Meat Festival producer elaborates in the event announcement.

Admission to the event secures the cheese and meat enthusiast samples from all food and non-alcoholic beverage vendors. Wine, beer, and cider is available with tokens; six tokens come with ticket purchase, and additional tokens will be available on site for purchase.

A list of participating vendors is slated for release soon.
