You can fly to Las Vegas for $116 roundtrip this winter

If Vancouver’s torrential rainfall has got you down, how about a winter getaway to lift your spirits back up?

Courtesy of NextDeparture, Swoop Airlines – WestJet’s low-cost carrier – has reduced the price of their flights from Abbotsford (YXX) to Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS).

The reduced prices run all the way from November to mid-February and roundtrips can be found for as low as $116, taxes included.

Comparatively, at this time of year, a flight from Vancouver to Las Vegas can cost anywhere from $275 to $475 – not including checked luggage.

It’s worth noting, however, that Swoop charges up to $40 for a carry-on item and $34.50 for a checked bag (each way).

With that in mind, it’s more cost-effective to forego the carry-on entirely and opt for a single checked bag. Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to bring a personal item onboard.

Here’s how to book the deal: 

1. Visit the Swoop website.

2. Enter your departure and return destination as Abbotsford (YXX) and Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS), respectively.

3. Select any departure date priced at $69 and any return date for $48.
