Is there anything better than a celebrity sighting? To help you snap your star selfie this April we put together a list of celebrities you’ll find in and around Vancouver this April.
Neil Patrick Harris will be in Vancouver filming A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2 in April.
Harris is best known for ‘suiting up’ as his character Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother in which he won a People’s Choice Award for Favourite TV Comedy Actor. He now returns to the screen for a more serious role as the series main antagonist Count Olaf. The series got a five star rating on Netflix for season one.
We watched him save the day and rescue his daughter in Taken and then his ex-wife in Taken 2, and now Liam Neeson is returning in another action packed film Hard Powder. The film follows a snowplow driver who seeks revenge against drug dealers he believes killed his son.
Starring alongside Neeson in Hard Powder is Emmy Rossum who is best known for her role as Fiona Gallagher in the TV series Shameless.
Rumour has it that this Shameless actor will be in town for his new role as Luke Hunter in Anthem of a Reluctant Prophet this April. Production for the film started in late March.
Jon Bernthal will be in Vancouver filming for his role in the crime thriller Stingray – which the Australian actor also co-wrote the script for. You may remember him as Shane Walsh from the AMC series The Walking Dead .
Also starring in Stingray alongside Bernthal is actor and filmmaker Joel Edgerton. Edgerton has made appearances in films such as Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, Warrior, The Great Gatsby and most recently, as a corrupt FBI agent in the drama Black Mass.
He made us laugh, and sometimes cringe, with his explicit humour as Ari Gold in Entourage. But Jeremy Piven will be in town throughout April for a more serious role in Wisdom of the Crowd.
The film features a tech innovator who takes crime-solving to the next level by creating a crowd-sourcing hub to try and solve his daughter’s murder.
Kristen Connolly, star of The Cabin in the Woods, is likely in Vancouver until June, filming her TV show Zoo, about a scientist investigating a rash of violent animal attacks.
Better known as ruthless Jackie Sharp on House of Cards, Molly Parker could well be in Vancouver through to June, filming Lost in Space, a TV remake of the 1960s sci-fi series about a family struggling for survival in outer space.
Another Vancouver regular, Melissa Benoist, will likely be in town this month, to continue filming Supergirl. Benoist may also be joined by co-stars Tyler Hoechin and Calista Flockhart; filming continues through April.
Best known for his quirky charm as Bumper in the Pitch Perfect films, Adam DeVine will be in town filming Game Over, Man! from March 30 through May. At the moment the plot is being kept very hush hush, but is said to be an action comedy starring his Workaholics colleague Anders Holm.
