Cause We Care's back to school charity drive

DH Vancouver Staff Sep 10, 2012 7:57 am

Cause We Care officially launched in May 2007, soon after a group of women volunteered at the Downtown Vancouver Eastside Women’s Centre’s annual Holiday lunch. They served more than 500 less-fortunate women and their children a memorable hot meal, and were touched by the challenges faced by those women and children.

They were so inspired that they decided to organize, and to develop concrete, effective ways to provide a ‘hand up’ through targeted outreach initiatives.

Cause We Care was founded by Andrea Thomas Hill. With her commitment to giving back to the community – and having become a new mother herself – Andrea was particularly drawn to the single women and children living within the harsh realities of Vancouver’s downtown Eastside. Armed with a strong desire to enable positive change in these women’s lives, Andrea founded Cause We Care Foundation.

Cause We Care Foundation is urgently asking everyone for help to support their Back To School Drive. With generous donation, Cause We Care funnel much needed funds and supplies to front-line organizations and inner city schools where the need is greatest
