This weekend, on July 6 and 7, is the 5th Annual Carnaval del Sol, Vancouver’s Latin American Celebration of Art and Culture, presented by LatinCouver.

This is a two-day, highly publicized cultural festival that attracts more than 40,000 people over two days.

Carnaval del Sol recreates a Latin American fiesta experience in downtown Vancouver. Amid exciting music, food and cheers you will be immersed into numerous activities: outdoor salsa & zumba lessons, a mini world cup street soccer tournament, an arts and crafts market, environmental education activities, and much more. Experience authentic Hispanic culture, food, arts and music.

Mini World Cup Street Soccer Tournament feat. Vancouver Whitecaps

Granville Street, from Robson to Georgia

Gather a team of eight people and sign up to participate in this Mini World Cup! Each team represents a different country to play in the preliminary round on Saturday and for the championship on Sunday with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC presenting the winning trophy.

Semi finals Saturday, July 6, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Finals Sunday, July 7, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
