Car Free Days Vancouver will make its return to four different neighbourhoods across Vancouver on Sunday, June 15.
As part of Car Free Day, numerous normally car-heavy streets will be closed down and turned into a community party full of food, music and live performances. On top of that, there will be a drumming circle, salsa dancing, a bike valet area for festival go-ers to leave their bikes.
Normally home to independent cafes, restaurants, and boutiques, “The Drive” will be one of four hosts for Car Free Days.
This year will be highlighted by Roller Disco, parading drummers, healing gardens, DJs spinning beats and all of your friends and neighbours hanging out.
Date: Sunday, June 15, 2014
Location: From East 12th Avenue to Venables Street (20 city blocks)
Time: Festival runs from noon to 7 p.m. and the streets are closed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
