This will be the final season for the Green Men at Rogers Arena. In a hilarious “press conference” announcement, Force (Adam Forsyth) and Sully (Ryan Sullivan) let it be known that they will be ditching their green spandex suits after this season.

The Green Men have really stretched out their 15 minutes of fame. It was nearly five years ago when they appeared for the first time at a Canucks-Predators game. Since then, they have been become pseudo-celebrities doing countless interviews, receiving endorsement deals and they were even inducted into the ESPN Hall-of-Fans. Sully even has his own radio show on TSN 1040 (which will continue on, presumably).

Give these guys credit. They didn’t wear out their welcome by being in your face every game and they added tricks to their repertoire to keep things fresh. This kind of an act usually runs its course rather quickly, but the Green Men had staying power. And now they know when it’s time to hang ’em up.
