Canada, the future of pizza has officially arrived.

Our favourite cheesy Italian export has gotten a modern makeover, or at least, the way we order it has.

Canada’s first-ever pizza vending machine flagship, PizzaForno, will be launching in Toronto on December 14.

The groundbreaking addition to Toronto’s pizza scene will be serving up fresh artisan pizzas (made in less than three minutes) 24 hours a day, seven days a week after it opens.

The new flagship spot follows a previous opening of a “beta test” spot in Toronto. But this PizzaForno is the real deal.

“From the minute they order it, the 32” video screen on the PizzaForno machine shows the journey the pizza makes from the hand topping, through the refrigerated section, through baking and finally to delivery out of the front slot of the machine,” President Les Tomli shared with Daily Hive.

To start, customers will be able to choose from four different selections on a digital screen, including Chèvre-miel, BBQ Chicken, Pepperoni, and Mozzarella.

Each 12-inch pizza is made fresh, with an authentic Italian approach that includes romana crust, fresh, all-natural, locally sourced ingredients and delicious, quality cream and tomato sauces. Prices range from $11 to $14, including HST.

But let’s talk logistics, the spot holds 70 12-inch pizzas at a time. Each pie is freshly topped and stored in the refrigerated section of the PizzaForno. Once customers place their order on the screen, a robotic arm takes their selection from the refrigerated section and slides it into an oven.

Once it’s cooked, the pizza is placed in a box and delivered to the consumer.

And we thought the Domino’s pizza tracker was cool…
