The day has finally arrived, the Bure jersey retirement game, a day many fans thought would never happen.  On November 2, against the Maple Leafs, Pavel Bure’s jersey will be retired.

Bure’s #10 will be the fourth retired number in Canucks franchise history. He’ll be joining Stan Smyl’s #12, Trevor Linden’s #16, and Markus Naslund’s #19.

The ceremony will begin at 4 p.m. on CBC, live before a national audience.

While there has been much debate in the past over whether or not the Hall of Famer should be given the top honour, that discussion is now over. One of the leagues most exciting players, will have his number retired and hung for eternity in the rafters of Rogers Arena.
