Vancouver Whitecaps FC are asking fans at Saturday’s game to donate at least one dollar to support local mental health initiatives at Covenant House Vancouver.

Given this season’s expanded seating capacity, if each person offers to #BuckUp, it is possible to raise a minimum of $22,000 by May 28. Funds raised through the campaign will be donated to Whitecaps FC community partner Covenant House Vancouver – it sees more than 1,400 homeless youth every year, many of whom struggle with mental illness.

Any fan who donates $50 or more at will be entered into a draw to win return tickets for two anywhere that WestJet flies. As well, all online donations will be matched by former Whitecaps FC defender and South Korean legend Young-Pyo Lee up to $12,000.

This year the ‘Caps are excited to include a charitable online auction. Fans can choose from a variety of unique items and one-of-a-kind experiences, including fan packs, entertainment packages, and signed jerseys.
